The newly formed Northwest Legal Video Association made its debut appearance at the Washington Court Reporters Association Conference held October 26-28 at the Best Western Executive Inn in Seattle. The reception to the NWLVA was overwhelmingly positive, and many attendees had great interest and approval of the Association's formation and goals.
As an incentive to find out more what court reporters needed from the NWLVA, a questionnaire was distributed and a winning name was drawn from the participants, with the prize being a $100 gift certificate from Nordstrom. The winner of the drawing was Mark King.
In the months to come, the NWLVA will continue to advance its relationship with the WCRA and build its membership throughout the Northwest to better serve court reporters and attorneys in their legal video needs.

The WCRA is an organization of professional independant court reporters, one of our industry's primary sources of job leads. We will be at the Best Western at the Seattle Center not only to generate awareness in our organization, but also to use the opportunity to ask the court reporters how they see our industry and what we can do to work more.

Membership in NWLVA will include access to our job listing board where videographers will have the opportunity to post and respond to listings for legal video jobs, which will not only help to ensure that our members won't have to say “no”, but also ensure that the videographer that is asked to cover a job meets the same level of professionalism as yourself.
